An aperitif of the centuries old crafts fair of Sant‘Orso for visitors who spend their Christmas vacations in Valle d‘Aosta: 30 December Foire des glaciers in Pré Saint Didier. The traditional Valle d‘Aosta crafts show-market is held each year in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. The exhibitors, from all over Valle d‘Aosta (and all registered with the “Register of craftsmen“), represent the main traditional and equivalent crafts such as sculpture and inlay on wood, serpentine processing, wrought iron, leather, household items, basketwork and production in glass and copper. Over the years Foire des glaciers has become a must appointment for all those who want to discover the secrets of typical, artistic and traditional crafts. For one day Pré Saint Didier, a small town in the heart of the Valdigne at the feet of Mont Blanc, becomes a showcase for the art and inspiration of many artists-craftsmen, who display and sell their own works. The event starts at 9 am and closes at 6 pm.
